Cash Bandits Slots
Are they truly famous? Some real-life bandits certainly are, and we think the guys in this slot game are now too. This original game did lead to two sequels so far, and we think there is always the chance that one or more others might turn up as well. We sure hope they do.
Our focus here, though, is to find out more about the original Cash Bandits slot game. So, if you haven't tried it yet, read through our review of it here before you do.
Developer info to start things off
The name behind this slot is the same as for its sequels - Realtime Gaming.
It boasts a delightful demo
And we suggest you try it too, as you'll learn how the game works. You can even play long enough to trigger its most famous feature of all… but more about that in a while.
A cops and robbers theme
Yes, robbers or bandits, it matters little… you'll get the chance to find them on the reels of this slot game, so watch for them to appear among many other related symbols.
Does it have a good design?
Yes, RTG has gone for a cartoon design here to keep things entertaining. They've done a grand job with it too. You'll see various elements based on the cops and robbers theme, along with the bank at the center of the action.
Getting underway: Playing Cash Bandits slots
You can see five reels once the game has loaded. There are two progressive jackpots at the top right of the screen, offering minor and major prizes.
You need to hunt down the bank vault to find the substitute symbol. Meanwhile, the police shield goes to work as the scatter symbol. If you find a wild as part of a winning combination, it can substitute for everything except that police shield.
Paylines in the Cash Bandits original slot game
You've got 25 here, so it is a nice manageable amount to bet on. They're not fixed but if you skipped one or two of them, you might end up missing a prize landing on a non-active line.
How much does it cost to play the game?
Your coins go from one cent to 25 cents, so there is plenty of scope to choose something that suits your budget. If you choose the cent coin, you can spin from 25 cents a time while covering all the lines.
The info button hides the rules
RTG has revamped this game a little, so instead of seeing the help and rules we originally did, we now have an info button to the left of the control panel at the bottom of the screen.
Is there any bonus potential here?
Yes, and the bonus begins when you find three police shields anywhere in view in a base game. When this happens, you're taken to the vault to play the Vault Bonus. This involves free spins, but since there is a lot to go through before you get to play them, we've added it to this section of our review.
The starting prize is worth five spins at 2x multiplier. You're taken into a room in the bank where there are four vaults. You've got a keypad in front of you and you must choose numbers that you think might form part of the codes for the vaults. The idea is to open all the vaults to get the maximum 90 free spins from this round. This would also generate a multiplier worth 12x for anything won.
However, even if you don't manage to snag all the spins, you can still often get a few more, plus a bigger multiplier to work with.
Is it easy to get the free spins?
We played this round several times while reviewing the slot game. We never got close to winning all 90 spins, but we did manage to score more than the minimum five spins you start with on every occasion.
RTP details could be locked in one of those vaults too…
RTG rarely if ever releases this detail, so maybe they've got it tucked up inside a vault somewhere…
Our rating for the original Cash Bandits game
This is a 9 out of 10 slot game for us. We would do it a disservice to rank it any lower than that.
Would-be winners might go for the jackpots
You'll always see them in the top corner of the game, switching between the minor and major prizes. Of course, if you got plenty of free spins from the vault bonus round, you could snag some decent wins there as well.
Play the demo version of Cash Bandits first
When we did this, we managed to trigger the bonus round quite quickly. It's worth playing on autoplay until you manage to do this, so you can see just how it works.
Play for real when you're ready with your budget
It's best to begin with your budget, so you can see whether spinning the reels of Cash Bandits is perfect for you at a quarter a time. You'll find the game at all good RTG casinos.
What about playing on a mobile device?
You can certainly do this, yes, thanks to the accessible nature of the game.
